Buzz

Another holiday creation. Week 3 of July's Academy module. I used a photo taken at Castle Drogo that I was especially pleased with...........
And a close up..........
I'm pleased with this one. This kit was fairly challenging for me, being quite muted colours etc but I think I did ok with it.

Twist

So here is the first of my holiday creations. A layout for Twisted sketch 11 (I think!), the twist was to use a monochromatic colour scheme.
I know I haven't been that strict with the twist but the papers and photos are predominantly green so I'm happy!

Have just enjoyed a very exciting Grand Prix and am now waiting for one of my Mums famous cream teas...yummmmmm.

STAMP

I am back but too tired to blog properly now! Just wanted to share the yummy Stamps that were waiting for me when I got home.......

I've been on a waiting list for these for 2 months and they finally arrived. They were a total QVC bargain, have used quite a few already and can just tell they are gonna be mega useful.

I plan to have a lie in and blog properly in the morning....lots to share.

Thanks to everyone who left sweet messages about my poorly cousin, we have had the best news today, she is out of hospital. She surprised all the doctors and us by making a super speedy recovery so as you can imagine we are all very relieved and happy, she's our little fighter.

Thats all for now, night xxx

Greetings

Just a quickie to share a couple more cards.....
I just love these papers by WRMK, they are so easy to work with and give a great effect.
Thought I'd keep them quite simple so I had some ready for any occasion.
I went to Sainsbury's last week and found some stationary in their sale which I plan to customise for birthday/christmas presents. Am hoping I will start this while I'm away so watch this space!

Surprises

I had a lovely surprise on Saturday when I saw the postman walking down my drive carrying a yellow box. It wasn't kit day so it took me a while to work out that it must be my prize from the Scrapagogo Birthday Bash Challenge. I was only expecting a little something so was shocked to open the box and find this little lot.......
I especially love the Basic Grey Indian Summer papers, they are gorgeous and I can't wait to use them.

Here is the first layout I did using my August Kit.....
I love the spotty papers, it looks like Smarties! This kit is yummy, I can't wait to get on with the Academy Modules.

Get Well Soon

I know, I blogged more last week when I was away than I have since I've been home but I do have an excuse. We came home on Tuesday but we've had a rather worrying week. My 2 year old cousin contracted E.Coli and has been very poorly. It will be a long road to recovery, she is currently on dialysis, but she's a little fighter and is making positive (if tiny) steps everyday.

Obviously I haven't felt alot like crafting but I needed something to occupy myself so I made a few cards. I made her this get well card.....
I used a Lola sticker I had, wish I'd had Upsy Daisy (that's her fave!).

I made a few more cards too. This one using the We Are Memory Keepers pad I bought last week......
This one took lots of cutting but I'm glad I persevered.

Also did this one using scraps of BG Lemonade.....
I made a few more but will share them later in the week. We may be going away again tomorrow, not sure yet, depends on the baby really. I've got lots of new stash to take away with me, plan to scrap my heart out!

Giggle

I did this layout for the 5th Gogo Birthday Challenge set by Laura. The challenge was to write directly on the photo. I used my new MME papers which went perfectly with this photo of Max playing with his toy dinosaur.....

To be honest the paper was so nice I didn't do much to this layout, just enhanced the paper with some stitching, doodling and glossy accents. I wrote on the photo with a Sakura Moonlight pen which worked really well.

With the left overs I made a birthday card for the little man......
Birthday cards for the twins.....
And one for Nino. That means I am organised with kiddie birthday cards until the end of October (I think!)
So I am home tomorrow and will catch you up with whats been happening.

Thie Time Last Week

...I was at my brothers party. It was the best, good food, good company, and as you'll probably see from my photos, PLENTY to drink!!!!

Me and my Mum....
Me and Sarah.....
My lovely Aunty Sue, who I know reads my blog and will love this pic......
My neices Hannah and Kerrie who are the biggest party animals I know! Ker bear did not stop dancing ALL night!
I had an absolute ball, I danced with all four of my nephews, laugh til I hurt at my mad cousin Gary, especially when he started dancing with an old lady he didn't know and just had the best time.
Can't wait for next year!

Holiday Snaps

So here are a few of my holiday snaps, I could share more but blogger is slow and I'd be here all day!

Me at Lanhydrock, a beautiful day and a really amazing place.
The view from Padstow, could be somewhere abroad such a gorgeous day and the tide was so far out it felt like you could walk across to Rock. The sandbank looked so clean and untouched I just wanted to run across it!
I was really proud of this photo I took at Castle Drogo.
So far we've been really lucky with the weather and have been to some amazing places, hopefully there will be lots more to come and plenty of new photos to scrap with when I get home!

Have You Missed Me?

I'm having a great holiday but as the weather today was a little overcast I decided I'd trek to McDonalds and visit my blogland buddies! I have lots to show you, the country air is working wonders for my creativity. I bought with me lots of page kits and am working my way through them.

I did this one with really cute pics of my friends children, using some Jillibean Soup papers.....

I decided that with the left overs of each page kit I'd make a card, so here is the first one....
I'm gonna leave this post as a short one as I plan to schedule some posts until I get back so come back later for more.

They Come in Threes

So yesterday I spent the day at the Museum of Welsh Life, with these two cheeky monkeys.......
It was a wicked day, there is so much to see there you could fill several days out. The best bit was that it is free, well all you have to pay for is parking which is £3 and we didn't even have to pay that because of the disabled concessions. We were so lucky with the weather as you can see from the lovely blue sky in this picture......
Here are my fave photos of the boys. Jake.....
And Max......
In other news, this week I have had a rather lucky streak. If you clicked on my link the other day you would have seen that I won a Twisted Sketch Challenge, then on Wednesday night our team won a round of drinks at quiz night. Yesterday, I got home from our trip to discover that I'd won one of the Gogo Birthday Bash challenges. Am gonna do the lottery today!
Busy day for me today, need to pack for our holiday, we are going tomorrow for about 10 days, then coming back for a couple of days, then going for another week. Thats a lot of packing! Then tonight there is a big party to celebrate my Bro and SIL's wedding vow renewal so need to get ready for that...... all I need now is some energy!
Have a great weekend xx

Stash Heavy Post

I'm a bit behind with my blogging this week, my energy levels have been really low so I haven't really felt like it. I'll catch you up a bit at a time, firstly my visit to Paperarts and other new stash.

I was really disappointed by my trip, their stock was really limited, I got a few bits that I wanted but the stock seemed to be really 'Disney' heavy which so ain't my thing! What I did buy was this gorgeous doggy paper from the Basic Grey June Bug collection....
This Doodlebug which isn't really my style but I thought would be cute for some childrens cards..
Some Jillibean Soup which I'd fancied trying for a while.....
And a 6x6 pad of Basic Grey Lemonade.......
Because I couldn't manage to spend much on my trip, I placed a little order at Craft Island. Some old Pink Paislee that was on offer......
Then finally I have managed to quench my thirst for CHA releases, with MME Abbey Road. A couple from the Stomp collection....
And a few Whirlybird.......
So I am well stocked up for lots of scrapping time on my hols. I plan to use it up so that when I get back I can order lots of the new Bella Blvd, more Abbey Road and eventually October Afternoon. I love CHA!

Back To The Future

I have discovered something that will revolutionize my blogging......post scheduling. This means that when I'm away I will be able to write posts when I manage to get some WiFi and then schedule them to post at a different time. You won't get rid of me even when I am away! And what is weird is that I am writing this........last night! xx

Use It Up

Every month on the gogo clubhouse, Nicola runs the use it up challenge to get us using up those old kits before the new ones arrive. I don't usually have much left but June's kit was so crammed that there was plenty left, I just added a sheet of white CS not because I had none left but because I can only seem to use white or kraft atm! Here is the LO..... My very first pictures minutes after I was born.
I actually got a bit ahead of the game and did this while I was housesitting last week so I made use of Kim's Slice to cut this funky shape out.
Am taking my friends little girl to the cinema in the morning, G-Force, hooray.....NOT! Not a Disney fan at all but it's what she wanted to see and at least it's Orange Wednesday.

Mr Campy

I'm back sooner than I thought I'd be, once I got inspired for the second challenge I got right on with it. The challenge was to take inspiration from one of the VIP party guests LO's. I chose this one by Katherine, if you don't already follow her blog you really should, it makes me laugh everytime I read it... this girl calls a spade a spade, I like that. Her LO's are really inspiring and her party one really caught my eye.

Rather than just lifting her LO I decided to make a list of the elements of it that I liked and use those. After I'd made the list I didn't look at the LO again, infact I still haven't now so don't know how mine differs! The list of elements I wanted to include were: A border around the edge, notebook edging (IYKWIM), folded paper, journalling tickets and an AC Flair badge (well I have to start using them!). So here's what I came up with......
My Dad doing a handstand on a campsite, wearing white flaired jeans....nice! All I can say is I'm glad I wasn't born yet! I used the, somewhat worryingly, aptly named Mr Campy papers.

That's all for now xx

Belle of The Ball

I'm feeling really yuck today, I got so little sleep last night but I managed to summon up the energy to do one of the challenges from Shimelle's party weekend. This challenge was to use a circle split into sections. I'm really pleased with the result......
I used some scraps of Jenni Bowlin papers and a few other bits, plus I made use of my Laura Ashley stamps.
All being well I hope to do a little trip up to Stroud tomorrow, to Paperarts, I have such a need for some real life stash shopping and if I plan to take scrapping stuff on holiday then I need some papers.
Hopefully I'll be back later with my second Shimelle challenge, but first I'm of for a lie down.

Party On

I'm all tucked up in bed nice and early, not that I've earned it today I've been so lazy. I am ill though, well that's my excuse today anyway! I looked after my great neice of the pooch variety this morning, Stella is so lush and, although generally manic, when the house was quiet with just the two of us she went all nice and sleepy. We snuggled up on the sofa in front of the Hollyoaks omnibus and she only moved in order to let me know that she wanted me to tickle her in a different spot.

I did a little bit of scrapping, week 2 of the July academy modules over on the gogo CH. Was a bit of a quicky LO mainly using scraps, don't think I cut a single piece of paper doing this one!

I've been dropping in on the party that's happening on www.shimelle.com it's been wicked to look at lots of different peoples blogs, some that I already follow and a few new ones. I've been playing along with the blog trivia quiz and plan to spend tomorrow doing a couple of the challenges. The whole event is mainly about hybrid scrapping and printables but with my unfortunate lack of a printer I can't join in with that aspect, but there are other things I can so have 2 LO's planned for tomorrow.

I'm lacking a little inspiration atm, I seem to be running low on paper (I know it's a first) but there's not really anything out there that grabs my eye. I neeeeeed those CHA releases, I know a few are due very soon but I won't be able to order for a while cos of my hols. Ah well at least it's not long til yellow box time. What did I do without it?

A Touch of Flair

I'm writing this post back home in my own bed. I did try to persuade Kim and Rich to stay away another week but funnily enough they didn't take me up on it! I've had the best week, I've crafted to my hearts content, watched every episode of Cold Feet, entertained friends and generally enjoyed having my own space. I'm gonna miss all my little animal friends they've been great company so thank you to Sally, Max and Ceddie, Daffy and Dudey, Sunny and Sidney, Alfie and all the little Freds!!

So when I got home I had a parcel waiting for me that I'd been waiting for for what felt like AGES! They were a QVC bargain but the flaw is always the long wait for it to arrive. I went halves with Clare on these but 10 packs of AC Flair badges for £11, we couldn't resist, 5 packs was more than enough each though.
Yesterday I got around to doing this weeks Twisted Sketch, the twist this week is to use flowers which was cool because of my recent Prima stash top up! I loved this pic of Molly and Stella, they both LOVE my brothers garden, I think mainly cos there is enough space to play but no need to go anywhere near each other!
I used some MME Bloom and Grow papers that I've had for ages.
Today I did this layout, using BG Urban Prairie. I got the collection pack free with a magazine sub ages ago and still had loads left so thought it would go nicely with this photo of Hannah. Her 21st fell on Easter Monday last year so we organised an Egg hunt with lots of surprises.
I blinged it up with some stickles and added an OA journalling card.
So tomorrow I have plans to work on this months Gogo academy, I'm a little behind what with all the birthday bash challenges but have a great idea for the week 2 LO which I'm dying to get down on paper.
Wish me luck getting some sleep tonight, as soon as I lie down I start coughing so it could be a long night ahead.
Night xx
