Upsy Daisy

I've had a creative couple of days, I promised earlier that I would share 2 layouts with you but now I have 3 and some cards!

The photo of this one doesn't really do the layout justice....roll on spring with some better light!! I had this really cute photo of my cousin Mollie so I decided to print it off 3 times using my pogo for better effect.
I am still completely in love with these MME papers, they are suitable for so many things.
Next is a layout using my prize stash. These Making Memories goodies are just gorgeous, so fresh and pretty.
I thought it really suited this photo of me and my neice, Hannah. You can just about see the clear embossed Butterflies that I stamped in the background.
This layout is another one from my january gogo kit. It is going miles this month! I have managed to do 2 academy layouts, 2 other layouts, a cover and pages for my yearbook, a CJ entry and still have tons left! I couldn't resist using this pic of Mum and Dad with the cute pear paper........
I just had to use my green UTEE with that funky chipboard pear.....
And finally I spent this evening making some cards for a friend. I made her a box of cards as a gift last summer and she has used them all up so asked me to make more for her. She wanted quite a few new baby and wedding cards so I actually ended up making slightly more generic 'Congrats' cards so she can choose which she uses for each occasion.
All very quick and simple....

There are actually 10 of them but most of them are quite similar so I won't bore you!!!
I am exhausted so am off to bed.

Roll Up....

Just a quickie post to say that I still have some items left for sale. Check out two posts below this. The only thing gone so far is the Dovecraft bundle. The rest I want rid of asap so make me an offer I can't refuse! xx

ps. Back later with two layouts I did yesterday xx

Mega Mini

Before you read this I should warn you that there are a LOT of photos in this post!!! I make no apologies though as I am so pleased with this little baby that I had to share every detail with you!!

For quite a while, well since OA launched their Report Card collection (!!) I have wanted to document my work in school. Obviously there are difficulties with this because of not being able to take photos, but I am allowed to take photos of the displays I have worked on, which actually have become my trademark in school and my skills in this seem to be becoming rather sought after!!! So here goes.....
I have had this pile of journalling cards for ages and it felt so good to use them all up in one go.
I also managed to use up all of the remaining Report Card stickers....that's got to be a first right?!

Mmm fell in love with this gorgeous gingham ribbon all over again!

Towards the end of working on this project, my prize arrived and I couldn't resist going back through to see where I could use my fabby 'Just Chillin' stamps. This dragon fly was the first.

Possibly my fave page, I just adore that paint splodge stamp, you'll be seeing lots more of that!

Then I managed to squeeze in the owl and stars!
And the butterfly and star found it's way in!!
And the crown found it's way onto the back page. I love this quote from Einstein!
Well if you are still with me thanks for lasting the duration!!! I promise not too bore you with so many photos again.......well not soon anyway!! xxx

At Long Last

After 7 long weeks of waiting my prize has arrived!! Quite a lot of nice bits and some bits that are not so nice!
A big bag of AC and BoBunny papers, some that I probably wouldn't have chosen but will use.
A load of Stix 2 stuff, boring but essential and will be good in reserve if I run out of ATG tape!

Some really lovely embellies, some brads, stamps, Thickers, and lots of other bits.
And then the stuff that I didn't like so much. Typically they chose today to close the UKS marketplace so I thought before I go to the trouble of eBay I'd see if anybody here was interested in any of the bits. They're not my cup of tea but they might be yours!
A Scrapbook Max CD ROM £12.50
I liked these but there were two packets in the box. They are Making Memories Just Chillin Wordfetti stickers. £2.50
A bundle of Stix2 bits, glitter glue, border tape, glue sticks and glitter and beads. £7.50

A Hot off The Press Card making book full of papers and die cuts, 2 sheets of 'Handmade by' labels and 8 packets of Peel Offs. £7.50
Dovecraft 'Wild Blossom' Bundle. 12x12 and 8x8 paper packs, Sticky Ribbons, Brads and two packs of decoupage. £15
I will accept payment by paypal and all prices include p&p. Email me at beksynormz@msn.com if you are interested.
I am off to find homes for my goodies now and maybe have a little play. I have a day off from school tomorrow due to an outbreak of the Winter Vomiting Bug so plenty of time to get stuck into my goodies then!

Bring On February

After not doing much scrapping last week, I am making up for it this week. I spent a crafty day with Clare, Kirsty and Mum yesterday and started work on a little mini book which I will share when I get round to finishing.

I also made this quick little project. I wanted something that I could carry around to jot down ideas for projects/layouts etc as I think of them. I am forever thinking of things that would be great themes for layouts and then forgetting them, so hopefully this way I will be able to note them down straight away. I made the cover from some really thick acetate I bought at Paperchase last week.

I am so pleased with the stamping. I used StazOn and all of the different frame/journalling stamps from my AC collection and finished off with some random Thickers.
The pages are simply made from a selection of journalling cards, I have so many and some that I was getting bored of so I thought that this was a good way of using them up (and eventually giving me an excuse to buy more!)
This afternoon I had a couple of hours to myself and an urge to create so I thought I might make a start on the Yearbook project that has just started over at the Gogo clubhouse. I am already taking part in their academy which is forming such a fantastic album that I am sooo pleased with that I just had to join in with this one.
The first task was to make some covers from a pizza box (6x12).......
I enjoyed it so much that I carried on and did the back cover.....
And the double page spread for January.....
Of course the snow had to be documented. I didn't actually take many pics this time as I just thought they would all end up pretty much the same as the feb 09 snow photos!! But I did manage to snap a couple of Frank looking so cute with snow on his nose from trying to fetch snowballs!

With the cold weather I have spent quite a bit of crafty time at home not only scrapping but baking, knitting and crocheting too so I thought that would be a good idea for my second page.
I have a clear day tomorrow so am hoping to get some more scrapping time, I have a couple of projects on the go, a couple of comissions I have been asked to do, not to mention some new SU stamps and punches to play with so I should have plenty more to share soon!
Watch this space! xx

The Other Hobby

So I promised you an update on the little crochet project I started last week. Well it's finished so here it is....

I turned my hand to french knitting (flash back to childhood knitting sets!!) to make this vine. It was really easy to do, I knitted 3 metres in a couple of hours.
I then added some beads to some of the flowers....
And stitched them to the vine....
I am so pleased with it. It'll look so sweet hung up in a little girls bedroom. This one is for my little cousins birthday but I have already started making ones for my other two little cousins.
I bought some more wool yesterday to make something lovely which involves learning to knit in the round which I haven't done yet. And I'm also halfway through crocheting a cushion cover! So busy, busy!!

Only 10 Months Until I Start The Next One!!!

I actually finished it!!! As it's February tomorrow I thought it was about time I finished off the Christmas journal. I had to add a ribbon to tie it up as, despite the larger book rings, it's still bursting at the seams.
I added this envelope....
And made this mini book to go inside.....I can't show you the photos because of child protection. Before you ask, the photos are the official ones that were for sale after the play so I am allowed them!!
This page was from a few days before Christmas when we had a family party and Christmas photo shoot. It is too cool having a photographer in the family!
Then a page about my pressies.....
This one is from when we took my nephews to the aquarium....
Then New Years Eve.....
And finally a page to sum it all up at the end.
This is the first scrapping I've done all week. I have enjoyed having a little break and have been spending lots of time crocheting, which I will update you on later.
