Cocktails

I'm taking ten minutes out of my tedious form filling day, to share a layout I made last week.  I am in the process of applying for jobs and I know that I have to try for loads to have a chance of getting one, but if you've ever applied for a teaching job you'll know just how much work is involved, how many forms have to be filled in and how you have to write a letter of application tailored specifically to each school.  I know it'll be worth it in the end but at the moment it's just doing my head in!

So anyway, here is the page I made of me and my niece Kerrie having pre Steps concert drinks at TGI's.

I used OA Farmhouse and Crate Paper Storyteller, some bits of stationary and some washi tape.

I actually made this one in response to one of the Shimelle.com challenges but was too late to enter it but I had fun anyway!  The challenge was to use a pocket so I used the airmail envelope to hide the concert ticket.

Keep Out!!

I am loving having a bit more time to scrap lately, as you can probably tell by the number of posts I've written recently!!

This was a quick one with quite an old photo that I really loved.  I used Crate Paper Story Teller.

It Must Be A Record!!

Two posts in one day, can you believe it???

This is another of Shimelle's challenges from the weekend.  The challenge was to use yellow, grey and one other colour.  This was a great challenge for me as this is one of my favourite colour combinations of the moment.  My third colour was navy blue.

I love this photo of my nephews and thought it went really well with this Authentique collection.

Sketch Challenge

Just a quickie post to share my entry for the Sarah's Cards challenge.  This month was a sketch challenge and I used a photo from Friday night when my niece and I went to see Steps (sad I know but it was so much fun!!)  The papers are a complete mixture of two different Studio Calico collections, and Crate Paper, Paper Heart and Random collections.

A Royal Layout

This is a photo I've been meaning to scrap for ages, well almost a whole year infact.  My two little cousins on the day of the royal wedding, they were being Princess Chloe and Prince Ben 10!!!

The colours in the October Afternoon Farmhouse papers were just right with Chloe's yellow princess dress.

A Kick Start

My apologies for lack of posting.  I've spent the last couple of weeks relaxing, enjoying the school hols and coming back down to earth after the excitement of finishing my course and becoming a proper teacher.  The hard work starts now though as I am looking for jobs but I am taking a little time to bake and scrap, things I haven't really had time for in months.

To kick start my mojo, I'm having a go at some of the challenges that were posted on Shimelle.com this weekend.

This challenge was the first one and it was to be inspired by this layout, and this is my take on it.
Hope you like it.  Back with more layouts soon xxxxx
